The President also underscored the importance of coordinated cooperation across strategic sectors such as trade and investment, agriculture, health, education, energy, blue economy, tourism, technology and regional integration. 2/2 In the area of education, the President highlighted the need to deepen collaboration with countries that possess strong technological and vocational expertise, as part of the Government’s agenda to revive and strengthen vocational training for young people, equipping them with practical skills for self-employment and improved productivity.

The President also commended the positive role each country continues to play in Tanzania’s development agenda and encouraged deeper engagement that aligns with Tanzania’s Vision 2050 and the national Foreign Policy (2024), which emphasizes economic diplomacy, strategic partnerships and active global engagement. She further assured the envoys of Tanzania’s continued peace, stability and security, stressing that the country remains a safe and predictable environment for citizens, investors and businesses, with strong guarantees for the protection of people and property.

Editor’s Note Bilateral Cooperation: Tanzania, currently operating 39 embassies and high commissions worldwide, maintains long-standing partnerships with all five countries, collaborating across key areas including trade, agriculture, investment promotion, energy, health, education, blue economy development, and tourism. The country’s Foreign Policy (2024) positions the state as a committed partner in peace, regional integration, economic diplomacy and multilateral cooperation under the AU, SADC, EAC, NAM, and the UN.

With the Republic of Angola: Collaboration covers trade, energy, minerals, blue economy, livestock and tourism. With the Islamic Republic of Iran: Engagement includes trade, energy, technology, agriculture, health and education.

With the Slovak Republic: Partnerships focus on renewable energy, digital innovation, manufacturing, cybersecurity, education and tourism. The key milestone is the opening of Slovakia’s first resident embassy in Tanzania, strengthening long-term economic and development cooperation.
