President Samia warmly welcomed the diplomats and reaffirmed Tanzania’s commitment to strengthening partnerships anchored in mutual respect, shared development aspirations, and long-standing historical ties. She further emphasized that Tanzania and the envoys’ respective governments share a mutual resolve to enhance trade and investment relations, noting that priority investment opportunities lie in agriculture and agro-processing, energy and water sectors.
The President also
underscored the importance of coordinated cooperation across strategic sectors
such as trade and investment, agriculture, health, education, energy, blue
economy, tourism, technology and regional integration. 2/2 In the area of
education, the President highlighted the need to deepen collaboration with
countries that possess strong technological and vocational expertise, as part
of the Government’s agenda to revive and strengthen vocational training for
young people, equipping them with practical skills for self-employment and
improved productivity.
The President also commended the positive role each country
continues to play in Tanzania’s development agenda and encouraged deeper
engagement that aligns with Tanzania’s Vision 2050 and the national Foreign
Policy (2024), which emphasizes economic diplomacy, strategic partnerships and
active global engagement. She further assured the envoys of Tanzania’s
continued peace, stability and security, stressing that the country remains a
safe and predictable environment for citizens, investors and businesses, with
strong guarantees for the protection of people and property.

energy, digital innovation, manufacturing, cybersecurity, education and
tourism. The key milestone is the opening of Slovakia’s first resident embassy
in Tanzania, strengthening long-term economic and development cooperation. With
the Republic of Namibia: Cooperation includes trade, blue economy, energy,
minerals, livestock and tourism. Namibia’s major oil and gas discoveries create
opportunities for joint capacity building and future energy value-chain
collaboration.
