KUPITIA Programu ya Uwekezaji kwa Jamii, Benki ya NMB
imekabidhi misaada ya madawati 100, viti 100 na meza 100 kwa shule mbili za
msingi na moja ya sekondari wilayani Malinyi, mkoani Morogoro, vyote vikiwa na
thamani ya Sh. Mil. 21.6.
Msaada huo ni sehemu ya Sh.
Bil. 7.4 zilizotengwa na benki hiyo kwa ajili ya kusaidia miradi ya kijamii
katika Sektra za Elimu, Afya na Mazingira kwa mwaka 2026, ikiwa ni asilimia
moja ya Faida Baada ya Kodi ya Mwaka wa Fedha ulioishia Desemba 31, 2025.

Bi. Janeth Shango, ndiye aliyekabidhi misaada hiyo kwa Mkuu wa Wilaya ya
Malinyi, Mhe. Sebastian Waryuba, aliyeipokea kwa niaba ya walimu wakuu wa Shule
za Msingi Madibila Chini, Salamiti na Shule ya Sekondari Kilosa Mpepo, zote za
Malinyi.
Akizungumza katika hafla
iliyofanyika shule ya sekondari Kilosa Mpepo, Bi. Shango alisema Shule ya
Madibila Chini imepewa madawati 50, idadi sawa na waliyopewa Shule ya Msingi
Salamiti, huku Shule ya Sekondari ya Kilosa Mpepo ikisaidiwa viti 100 na meza
100 kwa ajili ya wanafunzi.
Msaada huu ni uthibitisho wa
ushiriki wa Benki ya NMB katika maendeleo ya kijamii na kurejesha kwa jamii
kutokana na faida walioipata. Na ni kupitia michango hii, Benki ya NMB imeweza
kusaidia katika mbadiliko kwenye sekta ya elimu na pia kuifanya kutwa tuzo ya Benki
Kinara wa Uwajibikaji kwa Jamii kutoka Jarida la Global Banking and Magazine la
Marekani.
Kwa upande wake, DC Waryuba,
aliishukuru na Kuipongeza Benki ya NMB kwa msaada huu wenye thamani ya Sh. Mil.
21.6. huku akibainisha kuwa kwa hesabu za haraka haraka utagundua kuwa kupitia
madawati, viti na meza hizi, zinaenda kuwatoa sakafuni watoto takribani 500 wa
shule hizi waliokuwa wakisoma chini.
DC Waryuba aliongeza kuwa
tayari NMB imefungua njia katika kuboresha elimu wilayani Malinyi na kuwataka
wadau zaidi kufuata nyayo za benki hiyo kwa kujitolea kusaidia, huku
akiwasisitiza walimu na wanafunzi umuhimu wa kutunza misaada hiyo ili kuwatia
moyo wafadhili hao.

NMB handed
over Tsh 21.6 million in donations to primary and secondary schools in Malinyi
Through its Corporate Social Investment Program, NMB Bank
has donated 100 desks, 100 chairs and 100 tables to two primary schools and one
secondary school in Malinyi district, Morogoro region, worth a total of TSh
21.6 million.
This donation is part of Tsh 7.4 billion the bank set
aside to support community projects in the Education, Health and Environment
sectors for 2026, equivalent to one percent of the Profit After Tax for the
fiscal year ended December 31, 2025.
NMB Bank’s Central Zone Manager, Ms. Janeth Shango,
handed over the donations to the Malinyi District Commissioner, Hon. Sebastian
Waryuba, who received them on behalf of the headteachers of Madibila Chini
Primary School, Salamiti Primary School and Kilosa Mpepo Secondary School, all
in Malinyi.
Speaking at the event held at Kilosa Mpepo Secondary
School, Ms. Shango said Madibila Chini Primary School received 50 desks, the
same number was given to Salamiti Primary School, while Kilosa Mpepo Secondary
School received 100 chairs and 100 tables for students.
This support demonstrates the Bank’s participation in
social development and returning value to the community from its profits.
Through such contributions, NMB Bank has helped bring change in the education
sector and has earned recognition, including being awarded Best Bank in Corporate
Social Responsibility by Global Banking Magazine (USA).
DC Waryuba thanked and commended NMB Bank for the Tsh
21.6 million contributions, noting that a quick calculation shows that these
desks, chairs and tables will lift nearly 500 pupils who had been studying on the
floor.
DC Waryuba added that NMB
has already opened a path to improving education in Malinyi and urged more
stakeholders to follow the bank’s example by voluntarily supporting; he also
stressed to teachers and students the importance of taking care of the donated
items to encourage further donors.
